課程目標及內涵 (Course Objectives and Contents) :
對台灣海洋生物及生態現況有基本了解。並且配合野外實習與調查可以讓學生接觸到實際的海洋生物。透過教師的課程介紹及野外講解,可以讓學生清楚了解海洋生物與人類之間的關連,進而關心海洋生物環境。
課程分別由卓逸民老師、溫國彰老師共同執行。
主要田野課程活動會在五月或六月,利用星期五、六、日三天,前往七股與墾丁進行海洋生物(脊椎與無脊椎動物)的調查,並且探索附近海洋生態系,如墾丁珊瑚礁及海草床、嘉南地區紅樹林生態系、河口生態系等。
因此修課同學盡可能排開星期五的課程,抑或是需要在出野外當週五向其他課程請假,出野外前,將會在游泳池進行浮潛訓練及野外調查模擬。
另外本課程會安排和藻類學(劉少倫老師)一起出野外,建議同學為了達到良好的學習目的,請避開同時選修這兩門課程。
The course aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the status quo of Taiwan's marine organisms and ecosystems. Through field trips and surveys, students will have the opportunity to encounter real marine organisms firsthand. With the guidance of the instructors, Professor Zhuo Yimin and Professor Wen Guozhang, students will gain insights into the connection between marine organisms and humans, thereby fostering a greater concern for marine biodiversity.
Field activities are scheduled for May or June, typically spanning three days from Friday to Sunday, and will take place in the coastal areas of Qigu and Kenting. During these excursions, students will conduct surveys on both vertebrate and invertebrate marine life and explore nearby marine ecosystems, such as coral reefs and seagrass beds in Kenting, as well as mangrove ecosystems in the Jiannan region.
Therefore, students are advised to arrange their schedules to accommodate Friday classes or seek permission from other courses to miss classes on Fridays during the field trips. Prior to the field trips, snorkeling training and field investigation simulations will be conducted in the swimming pool.
Additionally, joint field trips with the Phycology course (taught by Professor Liu Shaolun) will be organized. It is recommended that students avoid enrolling in both courses simultaneously to maximize the learning experience.
