(Course Objectives and Contents) :
Microbiology serves as the foundation for various disciplines such as ecological conservation, environmental science, agriculture and forestry, food science, clinical medicine, public health, genetic engineering, molecular biology, and interdisciplinary studies. The goal of this course is to introduce students to microbiology, provide them with knowledge in microbiology, and help them understand the applications and research in microbiology, laying the groundwork for related fields. The course covers basic microbiology, microbial diversity, clinical microbiology, environmental microbiology, and applied microbiology. Teaching methods include lectures, video tutorials, group discussions, and field trips. By familiarizing students with the multitude of microorganisms on Earth and understanding life phenomena invisible to the naked eye, the course aims to provide a glimpse into the vast field of life sciences.
